An expert in masonry restoration and roofing projects, Mr. Struth has overseen the survey, analysis, design, construction documents and construction administration for all types of exterior envelope restoration projects including roofing, exterior walls, and windows.

Since joining the firm in 1991, he has become an expert in Local Law 11/FISP compliance and directed projects that range from roof replacements and roof recovery work to masonry repairs and replacement at landmark quality structures. He has also been in charge of terra cotta restoration and replacement, limestone restoration and replacement, and window replacement projects as well as concrete balcony repair work. He became a partner in 2005.



Projects



Representative projects directed by Mr. Struth include the following:

For the College of Physicians and Surgeons at the Columbia University Medical Center in uptown Manhattan, he was Associate-in-Charge of design and construction documents for exterior restoration of this 19-story masonry building.

On the same campus, he oversaw the renewal of the William Black Medical Research Building: a project which included brick replacement on the façade, brick parapet reconstruction, cast stone coping replacement, lintel replacement, and steel repairs. He also oversaw Local Law 11/FISP façade repairs and core ten steel metal panel repair of the Hammer Library Building.

For the residential cooperative 800 Park Avenue, New York, New York, he was the Partner-In-Charge of design and construction documents for facade restoration including limestone façade restoration. Mr. Struth is also in charge of the façade restoration program for Luna Park Housing in Coney Island, New York.



Education, Registrations and Organizations

Holder of Bachelor of Architecture degree from Pratt Institute, Mr. Struth has been certified by NCARB and is licensed to practice architecture in the states of New York, New Jersey and Connecticut. His memberships include the American Institute of Architect, the Association for Preservation Technology and ASTM.
